New York, NY (August 21, 2010) – This evening, SHOWTIME was honored with five Primetime Emmy® Award wins at the 2010 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards held at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. John Lithgow was named Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Arthur Mitchell on the Emmy®-nominated and Peabody Award-winning series DEXTER, the network's first win in the category. Lithgow says: "It's great to get an award for a show that I loved so much. I want to thank SHOWTIME." The SHOWTIME original series WEEDS, THE TUDORS and NURSE JACKIE were praised with Emmy® wins for Cinematography, Art Direction, Costumes and Main Title Theme Music. With 23 nominations, Showtime Networks received more 2010 Emmy® nominations for its original series than any other premium cable network

Additionally, SHOWTIME Digital Media received an Emmy® Plaque for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development for the Showtime Sports Interactive ITV project, and were nominated for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media – Fiction for DEXTER Interactive.

For the third time in these categories, SHOWTIME garnered award wins for Outstanding Cinematography, Costumes and Main Title Theme Music. Michael Trim received the award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Half-Hour Series for WEEDS for the episode titled "A Modest Proposal." The other nominees in the category were Vanja Cernjul for SHOWTIME's Emmy®-nominated comedy series NURSE JACKIE, CBS's Gary Unmarried and Two And A Half Men, HBO's Hung and NBC's 30 Rock.

Joan Bergin and Susan Cave received the award for Outstanding Costumes for a Series for THE TUDORS, episode 408. The other nominees in the category were FOX's Glee, CBS's The Good Wife, AMC's Mad Men and NBC's 30 Rock.

Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman were honored for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for the Emmy®-nominated comedy series NURSE JACKIE. The other nominees in the category were FOX's Human Target, FX Networks' Justified, NBC's Parks And Recreation and Syfy Warehouse 13.

In a network first, Tom Conroy, Colman Corish and Crispian Sallis received the award for Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series for THE TUDORS, episodes 407 and 408. The other nominees in the category were FOX's Glee, NBC's Heroes, ABC's Lost and Modern Family, and HBO's True Blood.

The Primetime Emmy® Awards celebrate excellence in national primetime programming, awarding top honors at the annual Creative Arts and Primetime Awards ceremonies. A symbol of peer recognition from over 15,000 Television Academy members, more than two-dozen peer groups vote for the category of competition in their field of expertise.
