The following stories will be telecast on the next edition of 60 MINUTES SPORTS Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 10:00 PM only on SHOWTIME.

PHIL IVEY After winning his 10th career, championship bracelet at the World Series of Poker this summer and amassing millions of dollars in winnings over his career – Phil Ivey is arguably the best poker player in the world. But Ivey is facing the biggest challenge of his life, as two casinos have accused him of cheating them out of $20 million while playing baccarat.  But in the unique world of gambling there is a fine line between cheating and fair play. In his first television interview, Phil Ivey says he didn’t cross that line. Was he fair or foul? You decide. James Brown reports from Las Vegas. Alvin Patrick is the producer.

THE CAPTAIN – The New York Yankee’s captain Derek Jeter retired as one of the best major league players in history.  James Brown speaks to former Yankee teammate and close friend Tino Martinez and to television sports broadcaster Michael Kay about the slugger’s legacy, as 60 MINUTES SPORTS presents a classic Ed Bradley profile of Jeter in his prime.  Alan Weisman and Michael Radutzky are the producers.

TORTURE SWIM -- How does an endurance athlete prepare for a grueling swim in waters that might harbor stinging jellyfish, menacing sharks, rough seas and often chilling temperatures?  They go to a swimming camp in the Irish Sea, where Jeff Glor finds some determined swimmers and a 6-foot-6 “seriously dangerous motivator” named Ned Denison, who prides himself on making their lives miserable. Alan B. Goldberg is the producer.
