ACCLAIMED SHOWTIME FRESHMAN SERIES THE AFFAIR HONORED FOR Best Television Series, Drama AT THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

Ruth Wilson Recognized For Best Performance By An Actress In A Television Series, Drama

 NEW YORK – January 11, 2015 – Tonight, the critically-acclaimed SHOWTIME freshman series THE AFFAIR was embraced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association with two major category wins, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series, Drama. Lead actress Ruth Wilson also took home her first ever Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Drama for her role as “Alison Bailey.” THE AFFAIR received three Golden Globe nominations for its freshman season, and was the only first year series to break into the drama series category this year. THE AFFAIR returns for a second season later this year. This year, SHOWTIME was honored by the Golden Globes with the most series nominations of any network.

The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards aired in more than 192 countries and is produced by dick clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
