ALEX WAGNER TO BE A GUEST CONTRIBUTOR ON THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE GREATEST POLITICAL SHOW ON EARTH ON SHOWTIME

Political Analyst To Join THE CIRCUS For Episode 7 In South Carolina

NEW YORK – February 23, 2016 – Today, SHOWTIME announced that MSNBC analyst Alex Wagner will be a guest contributor to the Feb. 28 episode of THE CIRCUS airing this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Wagner will join the team on the campaign trail in South Carolina this week in the final days before the Democratic primary.

THE CIRCUS is produced in cooperation with Bloomberg Politics and features managing editors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann (co-authors of the New York Times best-sellers Game Change and Double Down, and co-hosts of the nightly political show "With All Due Respect" on Bloomberg Television) and noted campaign strategist Mark McKinnon.

THE CIRCUS is produced by Left/Right, a part of Red Arrow Entertainment Group, for SHOWTIME. Mark Halperin, John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon, Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman serve as executive producers.

Alex Wagner is currently an MSNBC Analyst. Previously, she served as host of MSNBC’s Emmy-nominated “NOW with Alex Wagner.” She is a frequent guest host for MSNBC prime time shows “All In with Chris Hayes” and “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.” Alex was also the host of MSNBC.com’s traveling interview series, “Mind Over Mountain” and “On the Water.” Before joining MSNBC, Alex was a reporter with Huffington Post, where she covered innovation in the American economy, investigating the intersection of business, politics and new technology. Prior to this, she served as the White House correspondent for Politics Daily. From 2007-2009 she was the Executive Director of Not on Our Watch, an advocacy and grant making non-profit founded by actors George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle. Prior to that, she was the Editor in Chief of the award-winning FADER Magazine, covering cultural movements around the globe from Brazil to China to South Africa. Before joining FADER, Alex served as the Cultural Correspondent for the Washington, DC-based think tank Center for American Progress.
