“BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”

Catherine “Cat” Chandler (Kristin Kreuk, “Smallville,” “Chuck”) is a smart, no-nonsense detective, spurred to action after hired killers murdered her mother – and would have murdered Cat, too – if something, some beast, hadn’t stopped them.  Ten years later, a case brought Cat to Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Top of the Lake,” “Terra Nova”), a supposedly deceased soldier living off the grid with the help of his loyal childhood friend and scientist, J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”).  Cat was shocked to discover that her mother was involved in an experiment to make super-soldiers, and when the experiment went wrong, the soldiers, including Vincent, were turned into uncontrollable beasts.  Vincent managed to escape the experiment alive, but then was hunted by Muirfield, the organization that sent the gunmen after Cat’s mother.  Vincent had been tracking them, which led him to be in the right place to save Cat on that terrible night ten years ago.  Cat and Vincent were drawn to one another and an epic love began.

Muirfield reappeared and infiltrated Cat’s life, costing her some of her closest relationships.  She lied to her own sister, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson, “Ravenswood”), and to her best friend and partner, Detective Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”), in order to protect them.  When police cases involving “beast” elements went unsolved, Assistant District Attorney Gabriel Lowan (Sendhil Ramamurthy, “Covert Affairs,” “Heroes”) was assigned to track down this mysterious “vigilante.”

Season two saw Cat reunite with Vincent but he had changed: his scar disappeared, his memory was wiped clean, and he returned as a supercharged beast on a mysterious mission.  Cat started to unravel the reasons behind Vincent’s change in order to attempt to recover their epic love, while also trying to solve the secrets that swirled around her own life.  With the help of friends J.T., Tess and Gabe, Cat was determined to get answers and save her soul-mate, even as one of her friends turned on her.

As season three begins, Cat and Vincent are able to focus on their love, finally free from Muirfield, manhunts and beasts,   However, that love will be tested as new and more dangerous threats await.  When they learn that innocent victims are being used to test the boundaries of the impossible, Cat and Vincent will uncover a deeper conspiracy, one which Vincent can fight only by turning to the beast he carries within.  But unleashing the beast will risk Vincent’s life – along with his and Cat's love – as they struggle to build a normal life together.
