Sonequa Martin-Green is best known for her portrayal of Sasha on the AMC series The Walking Dead. In addition to The Walking Dead, Martin-Green is recognizable from her numerous recurring television roles across both comedy and drama. Most notably as the prankster Rhonda on FOX’s comedy New Girl, Tamara on ABC’s Once Upon A Time and Courtney Wells on CBS’s Emmy-winning drama, The Good Wife. Also, she left her mark on television with recurring roles on the CBS drama NYC 22 and Lifetime’s Army Wives. Her other television credits include Gossip Girl and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.


In regards to film, Martin-Green received rave reviews for her starring turn in Emily Abt’s Sundance hit
Toe To Toe in which she played Tosha Spinner, a highly driven inner-city high school teenager. She followed up Toe To Toe with Victoria Mahoney’s film Yelling to the Sky alongside Gabourey Sidibe and Zoe Kravitz.

On stage, Martin-Green is best known for her critically acclaimed performances in Des McAnuff’s
Fetch Clay, Make Man, in which she starred as Muhammad Ali’s first wife, Sonji Clay, and Outside People at the Vineyard Theater in New York City.

Currently, Martin-Green resides in Los Angeles, California, with her husband, Kenric Green, and their son.
