NORIKO GEE PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAM PLANNING & SCHEDULING, CBS

Noriko Gee has been promoted to Vice President, Programming Planning & Scheduling, it was announced by Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President, CBS Primetime, to whom she reports.

 

In her position, Gee is responsible for scheduling all CBS primetime series, specials and movies.  She will also continue to contribute to the planning of The CW's schedule.

 

"Noriko is one of the brightest young minds in our profession," said Kahl.  "We're very happy to recognize her terrific work at CBS with this promotion."

 

Gee had been Director, Program Planning & Scheduling, since May 2007, during which time she played a role in the Network's key scheduling moves of THE MENTALIST to Thursday and THE BIG BANG THEORY to Monday at 9:30 PM.

  

She began her career as an intern in the CBS research department in 2001 and was named a research analyst  in 2002.

 

Gee moved into the Scheduling department in 2003 as a coordinator, working with the department to schedule series, movies and specials for CBS and UPN.  She was promoted to Manager in February 2006.

 

Gee is a graduate of USC with a bachelor of arts in East Asian languages and cultures, and also has an M.A. in communication management from USC's Annenberg School of Communication.
