CBS WINS WEEK 21 AND RETAKES VIEWERSHIP LEAD FOR 2019-2020 BROADCAST SEASON
THE EYE WINS FIVE NIGHTS
According to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 16 (week 21 of the 2019-2020 broadcast season), CBS took the ratings crown, attracting 6.02 million viewers, winning six nights (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and beating the closest competition (ABC) by +1.9 million viewers (4.13 million, +46%). As a result, the Network has retaken this season’s viewer lead with an average audience of 7.81 million viewers.
On Monday, BULL was first in viewers (6.31m).
On Tuesday, CBS was once again first in viewers (8.93m) as NCIS led off the night with a win in viewers (11.75m), adults 25-54 (1.7/07) and adults 18-49 (1.0/05). NCIS was the night’s most-watched program. At 9:00 PM, FBI was also first in viewers (8.93m) while FBI: MOST WANTED at 10:00 PM was tops in viewers (6.11m) and adults 25-54 (1.1/05).
On Thursday, CBS was first in viewers (5.80m) as YOUNG SHELDON was the night’s top show in viewers (8.89m), adults 25-54 (1.8/08) and adults 18-49 (1.0/06, tie). THE UNICORN was first in viewers (5.97m), as was MOM (6.27m). CAROL’S SECOND ACT was second in viewers (4.83m), while TOMMY was tops at 10:00 PM in viewers (4.41m).
On Friday, CBS was first in viewers (6.73m), adults 25-54 (1.1/05) and tied for first with FOX in adults 18-49 (0.7/04). CBS topped the Friday viewer race for the 19th Friday in 21 weeks this season. MACGYVER led off the night first in viewers (5.77m), adults 25-54 (1.0/05) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (0.7/04). HAWAII FIVE-0 was tops at 9:00 PM in viewers (6.95m) and adults 25-54 (1.1/05) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (0.7/04). At 10:00 PM, BLUE BLOODS was first for the night in viewers (7.45m), adults 25-54 (1.1/05, tie) and adults 18-49 (0.7/04, tie).
On Saturday, CBS was first in viewers (2.57m) and adults 25-54 (0.5/02) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (0.3/02).
On Sunday, CBS led the night in viewers (6.18m), with 60 MINUTES leading the way with 8.03 million. At 10:00 PM, the time period premiere of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was first in viewers (5.24m) with the time period’s largest regularly scheduled audience this season.
