UPDATED: CBS FIRST IN VIEWERS AND A25-54; CBS COMEDIES ARE THE TOP FIVE SCRIPTED SERIES IN A18-49; NET HAS TOP 9 IN VIEWERS

 

The Network Has the Top Nine Scripted Shows in Viewers

 "NCIS" Becomes the First Drama This Season to Deliver More than

20 Million Viewers

CBS Posts Year-to-Year Growth in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54  

Season-to-Date, CBS Up in Viewers, Adults 18-4 9 and Adults 25-54

            CBS comedies were the week's top five scripted programs in adults 18-49 and NCIS became the season's first drama to top the 20 million viewer mark as the Network placed first in viewers and adults 25-54 (tie), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 13.

            THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, 2 BROKE GIRLS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and MIKE & MOLLY were the top five scripted programs in adults 18-49.  

            Among viewers, NCIS was the top scripted program, delivering a season-high live plus same day 20.38 million viewers.  CBS has the top nine scripted programs in viewers, with THE BIG BANG THEORY, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, TWO AND A HALF MEN, MIKE & MOLLY, UNFORGETTABLE, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, 2 BROKE GIRLS and CRIMINAL MINDS.

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.78m), ABC (10.32m), FOX (7.78m) and NBC (6.80m). Season-to-date CBS (12.95m), ABC (9.90m), FOX (9.87m) and NBC (7.31m). 

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.5/08, with ABC) and averaged 2.6/07 in 18-49.  Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +3% in both households and adults 25-54, +4% in adults 18-49 and even in viewers.  

For the week in households, CBS (6.8/11) was ahead of ABC (6.6/11), FOX (4.6/07) and NBC (4.3/07).  Season-to-date, CBS is first (8.1/13) followed by ABC (6.4/10), FOX (5.9/09) and NBC (4.6/07).

            CBS posted year-to-year growth in adults 18-49 (+4%) and adults 25-54 (+3%).   Season-to-date, CBS is up +2% in viewers (12.95m from 12.69m), +3% in adults 18-49 (3.4/09 from 3.3/09) and +5% in adults 25-54 (4.5/11 from 4.3/11).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in adults 25-54 (4.9/11), adults 18-49 (4.4/12) and adults 18-34 (4.0/12) and second in both households (6.2/09) and viewers (10.28m).  Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/13), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 4.2/13) and +3% in adults 18-34 (from 3.9/14).

2 BROKE GIRLSwas first in adults 25-54 (5.4/12), adults 18-49 (4.6/11), adults 18-34 (3.8/11), second in households (7.0/10) and viewers (11.43m).  2 BROKE GIRLS built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +13% in households, +10% in adults 25-54, +5% in adults 18-49 and added +1.15m viewers (+11%).  Compared to last week, 2 BROKE GIRLS was up +4% in households (from 6.7/11), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 5.1/13), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.3/12), +12% in adults 18-34 (from 3.4/14) and added +640,000 viewers (from 10.79m, +4%). 

TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (6.5/14), adults 18-49 (5.2/12), adults 18-34 (3.8/10), second in both households (8.9/13) and viewers (14.71m).  Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +5% in households (from 8.5/13), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 5.9/14), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 4.7/12), +19% in adults 18-34 (from 3.2/10) and added +810,000 viewers (from 13.90m, +6%). 

MIKE & MOLLY was first in adults 25-54 (5.4/11), adults 18-49 (4.2/10), adults 18-34 (2.6/07), second in both households (7.3/11) and viewers (11.93m).  Compared to last week, MIKE & MOLLY was up +3% in households (from 7.1/11), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/11), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/09), +18% in adults 18-34 (from 2.2/07) and added +480,000 viewers (from 11.45m, +4%).

HAWAII FIVE-0 was first in adults 25-54 (3.8/09), adults 18-49 (3.1/08), adults 18-34 (1.6/05), second in both households (6.7/11) and viewers (10.32m). 

             NCIS was first in households (12.6/19), viewers (20.38m), adults 25-54 (5.7/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11) for the eighth consecutive week.  NCISposted its largest audience since Feb. 22, 2011 and the largest audience for any drama on any network this season. NCIS beat "Glee" by its largest margin to date in households (+8.2), viewers (+13.47m), adults 25-54 (+2.8) and adults 18-49 (+1.0).  Compared to last week, NCIS was up +3% in households (from 12.2/19), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.6/14), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/11) and added +670,000 viewers (from 19.71m, +3%). 

NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in viewers (15.66m), adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09). From 9:00-9:30 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES tied "The New Girl" for the first time this season in adults 18-49 (3.5/09, each).  Compared to last week, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/11), even in and adults 18-49 and added +140,000 viewers (from 15.52m, +1%). 

UNFORGETTABLE was first in households (7.7/13), viewers (11.72m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). 

THE BIG BANG THEORYwas first in households (9.5/15), viewers (15.89m), adults 25-54 (6.8/17), adults 18-49 (5.3/15) and adults 18-34 (3.9/13).  Compared to last week, THE BIG BANG THEORYwas up +1% in households (from 9.4/15), +3% in adults 18-34 (from 3.8/13), even in adults 25-54.   

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was first in households (6.9/11), viewers (11.57m), adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and second in adults 18-49 (3.5/09, -0.1 behind FOX).

PERSON OF INTEREST(R) was second in households (5.7/09) and viewers (9.11m) against all first-run programs.

THE MENTALIST (R) was first in households (6.5/11), viewers (10.08m), second in adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and adults 18-49 (1.9/05) against all first-run programming.

A GIFTED MAN was first in households (5.4/09), viewers (8.25m), second in adults 25-54 (1.9/04, -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (1.2/04).  Compared to last week, A GIFTED MAN was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. 

CSI: NY was first in households (6.4/11), viewers (10.14m), adults 25-54 (2.4/06) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05).  Compared to last week, CSI: NY was up +6% in adults 18-49 (from 1.6/05), even in adults 25-54 and added +310,000 viewers (from 9.83m, +3%). 

BLUE BLOODS was first in households (7.0/13), viewers (11.30m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05).  

60 MINUTESwas second in households (8.4/13), viewers (13.07m), adults 25-54 (3.3/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/05).  Compared to last Sunday, 60 MINUTES was up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.1/07), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05), even in households and lost -320,000 viewers (from 13.39m, -2%).  Compared to last year, 60 MINUTESwas up +6% in households, +22% in adults 25-54 and +24% in adults 18-49.     

THE AMAZING RACE 19 (6.1/09, 10.27m) averaged 3.9/08 in adults 25-54 and 2.7/06 in adults 18-49.  Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE 19was up +2% in households (from 6.0/09), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 3.7/08), even in adults 18-49 and added +540,000 viewers (from 9.73m, +6%).  Compared to the same night last year, THE AMAZING RACE 19was up +2% in households, +3% in adults 25-54 and down -7% in adults 18-49.     

THE GOOD WIFE (6.5/10, 10.24m) averaged 2.9/06 in adults 25-54 and 2.0/05 in adults 18-49.  Compared to last week, THE GOOD WIFE was up +10% in households (from 5.9/09), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/06), even in adults 18-49 and added +1.16m viewers (from 9.08m, +13%). 

CSI: MIAMIwas second in households (6.4/11), viewers (9.77m), adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/05).  CSI: MIAMIwas up +10% in households (from 5.8/10), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/06), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05) and added +1.10m viewers (from 8.67m, +13%) compared to last week.
