“THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT” CONTINUES TO GROW, BEATING “TONIGHT SHOW” LAST WEEK BY OVER +1.2 MILLION VIEWERS WHILE WINNING IN ADULTS 25-54 AND TYING IN ADULTS 18-49

BEATING “TONIGHT” BY OVER A FULL RATING POINT

Last week (week ending May 11), THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT delivered 3.51 million viewers, 0.8 in adults 25-54 and 0.5 in adults 18-49. In live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW added +600,000 viewers (from 2.91m), +0.2 ratings points in adults 25-54 (from 0.6) and +0.1 in adults 18-49 (from 0.4) according to Nielsen.

With that lift, THE LATE SHOW improved its advantage over “Tonight” in viewers to +1.21 million (vs.2.30m) after leading by +720,000 with same day viewers (vs. 2.19m). With 3-day viewing, THE LATE SHOW moved ahead of “The Tonight Show” in adults 25-54 (0.8 vs. 0.7) and into a tie in adults 1849 (0.5, each) after trailing in both measures by -0.1.

Additionally, last night (May 15), THE LATE SHOW, with special guests “Deadpool” (Ryan Reynolds) and Jamie Foxx, scored a big 2.9 household rating, beating “Tonight” by over a full rating point (versus 1.8). This was THE LATE SHOW’s highest overnight metered market rating since April 17 (the James Comey interview). Season-to-date, most current, THE LATE SHOW is up +22% in viewers (3.86m from 3.17m), +13% in adults 25-54 (0.9/05 from 0.8/04) and even in both adults 18-49 (0.6/04) and adults 18-34 (0.3/03) compared to last season, while beating “Tonight” in viewers (3.86m vs. 2.69m, +43%) and tying their closest competitor in adults 25-54 (0.9/05, each) and adults 18-34 (0.3/03, each).
