"Marine Down" -- Gibbs and his team must figure out if it's a malicious prank or not when a Marine widow receives a call from her supposedly dead husband saying he's still alive, on a rebroadcast of NCIS, on a special night and time, Saturday, July 23 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The investigation reveals that someone is trying to cover up the Major Kidwell's death, as well as the death of his partner, Major Peary, who were on a secret mission. The team exhumes Kidwell's body and learns the Kidwell died a horrible death, but under very mysterious circumstances. Meanwhile, questions continue to arise when Gibbs is shot at during the investigation.

The investigation puts Gibbs and the team on the trail of a former Navy Intelligence agent who is now a private contractor working in Paraguay. With a little help, Gibbs learns the rogue agent is involved in illegal activities and sends Tony and Kate to Paraguay to make an arrest.
