CBS WINS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK IN VIEWERS

“Zoo” is the Week's #1 Summer Scripted Series in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, Matching Series Highs in Both Demos

“Extant” Up in Adults 18-49 For the Second Straight Week in Its New Time Period

“Big Brother” Delivers Its Largest Sunday Audience of the Summer With All Three Editions Among the Top 10 in Adults 18-49

            CBS won its fourth consecutive week in viewers with six of the top 10 programs as ZOO and EXTANT posting week-to-week demographic growth, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 2.

            Among the Network's original summer programming, ZOO was the most-watched and highest-rated summer scripted series in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, while EXTANT posted growth in adults 18-49 for the second straight week since moving to its new 9:00 PM time period. UNDER THE DOME posted week-to-week growth in adults 25-54.

All three editions of BIG BROTHER finished in the week's top 20 among viewers and in the top 10 in adults 18-49 with the Thursday and Sunday editions tied at #5 with the Tuesday edition ranked #7.

CBS Weekly Highlights:

ZOO

  •  ZOO was up +20% in both adults 25-54 (1.8/05 from 1.6/05) and adults 18-49 (1.2/04 from 1.0/04) and added +400,000 viewers (7.09m from 6.69m) compared to the prior week.  ZOO matched series highs in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. 

 

UNDER THE DOME

  •  UNDER THE DOMEaveraged 4.68m, 1.5/05 in adults 25-54 (up +7% from 1.4/04) and was even in adults 18-49 (1.0/04) compared to last week.

 

EXTANT

  •  EXTANT averaged 4.32m, 0.8/02 in adults 18-49 (up +14% from 0.7/02) and was even in adults 25-54 (1.1/03) compared to the prior week.  

 

BIG BROTHER

  •  BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY  (5.74m) led the night in adults 18-49 (1.8/07), adults 25-54 (2.2/08) and adults 18-34 (1.3/07).
  •  BIG BROTHER THURSDAY (9:01-10:00 PM) (6.38m) was first on the night in adults 25-54 (2.4/08),  adults 18-49 (2.1/08) and adults 18-34 (1.6/08), posting its largest Thursday viewers delivery since the June 25 premiere and matched the summer's best Thursday adults 18-49 delivery.
  •  BIG BROTHER SUNDAY (8:01-9:00 PM) was the night's top program in adults 18-49 (1.9/07), adults 25-54 (2.4/07), adults 18-34 (1.4/07), while averaging 6.26m, its largest Sunday audience of the summer. Compared to last week,BIG BROTHERwas up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.3/07), even in adults 18-49 and added +310,000 viewers (from 5.95m, +5%).
