“The Late Late Show with James Corden” Posts Its Largest Weekly Audience
since May 2015
CBS’ two late night broadcasts — THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT and THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN — both delivered their largest weekly audiences of the season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 10.
For the week, THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.23 million viewers, its largest weekly audience since its premiere in Sept. 2015. The show delivered three million viewers for the fifth consecutive week, up +33% compared to the same week last year. THE LATE SHOW was the #1 show in late night for the sixth consecutive week, CBS’ longest late night winning streak since the 2009-2010 season. During the show’s six week winning streak, THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.43m viewers (most current), up +23% in viewers (from 2.78m) from the same period last year.
THE LATE LATE SHOW averaged 1.44m viewers for the week, up +16% in viewers (from 1.24m) from a year ago and its largest weekly audience since the week ending May 22, 2015. The show was also up +25% in adults 25-54 (0.5/03 from 0.4/02), its best rating in the demo since the week ending Feb. 19, 2016.
