“THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT” PLACES FIRST IN LATE NIGHT

The Late Show” Grows +46% from the Same Week Last Year

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT placed first in late night again while continuing to post year-to-year growth, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending June 9.

THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.00m viewers, up +46% compared to the same week last year (from 2.05m). THE LATE SHOW was also up +17% in adults 25-54 (0.7/03 from 0.6/02), +25% in adults 18-49 (0.5/03 from 0.4/02) and +50% in adults 18-34 (0.3/02 from 0.2/01) compared to the same week last year. THE LATE SHOW beat “The Tonight Show” in viewers (3.00m vs. 2.57m) by +17%. Note: “The Tonight Show” aired with an amended title Thursday and was not part of the weekly average.

For the 2016-2017 television with live plus seven day data, THE LATE SHOW averaged 3.26 million viewers, up +12% from last year (2.90m) and +80,000 viewers ahead of “The Tonight Show” (3.18m). A year ago, THE LATE SHOW trailed “The Tonight Show” by 870,000 viewers.
