Sunday Dramas Post Week-to-Week Growth

CBS placed first in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week led by 60 MINUTES, television’s #1 program of the week, and NCIS: LOS ANGELES, the #1 scripted program, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 26.

The Network had 6 of the top 10 and 12 of the top 20 programs of the week. All of CBS’ Sunday dramas posted week-to-week growth. CBS’ 34 minutes of late running NCAA Men's Basketball Championship coverage airing in primetime (Kentucky vs. North Carolina) averaged 20.41m viewers, 6.6/22 in adults 25-54 and 5.6/23 in adults 18-49.

  • 60 MINUTES (7:34-8:34PM) delivered 14.70m viewers, 3.3/10 in adults 25-54 and 2.5/09 in adults 18-49, its best deliveries in these measures since Nov. 27, 2016.  The last time 60 MINUTES was the #1 program was the week ending Nov. 16, 2008, with the first post-election interview of President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle (25.1 million viewers).

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

  • NCIS: LOS ANGELES (8:34-9:34PM) delivered 11.17m viewers, 2.2/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.6/06 in adults 18-49, up +29% in adults 25-54 (from 1.7/05), +45% in adults 18-49 (from 1.1/04) and +23% in viewers (from 9.10m) compared to last week.  

MADAM SECRETARY

  • MADAM SECRETARY (9:34-10:34PM) was up +15% in viewers (8.77m from 7.62m), +25% in adults 25-54 (1.5 from 1.2) and +38% in adults 18-49 (1.1 from 0.8) from a week ago. MADAM SECRETARY posted its best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 ratings since Dec. 18, 2016, and its largest audience since Jan. 8.

ELEMENTARY

  • ELEMENTARY (10:34-11:34PM) was up +20% in viewers (5.16m from 4.28m), +22% in adults 25-54 (1.1 from 0.9) and +33% in adults 18-49 (0.8 from 0.6) compared to a week ago. ELEMENTARY matched season high adults 18-49 rating, matched second best adults 25-54 delivery, and posted largest audience since Jan. 29, 2017.
