26.1 Million Viewers Tuned Into “The 59th Annual Grammy Awards,” Its Largest Audience in Three Years
CBS swept the week in viewers and key demographics with the top 7 broadcasts and 16 of the top 20 including 6 freshman series, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 12.
THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS was the week’s #1 program, delivering a three-year high of 26.1 million viewers. NCIS was the week's #1 drama, THE BIG BANG THEORY was the #1 comedy, BULL was the #1 new drama and KEVIN CAN WAIT was the #1 new comedy.
Six freshman series placed among the top 20 broadcasts with BULL (#4), MACGYVER (#12), KEVIN CAN WAIT (#13), THE GREAT INDOORS (#17), SUPERIOR DONUTS (#19) and MAN WITH A PLAN (#20).

THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS (S) (8:00-11:42PM) delivered 14.3/25 in households, 26.07m viewers, 9.1/25 in adults 25-54, 7.8/25 in adults 18-49 and 6.6/27 in adults 18-34. Compared to last year on Monday, Feb. 15, THE GRAMMYs was up +1% in both adults 25-54 (from 9.0/24) and adults 18-49 (from 7.7/24), +3% in adults 18-34 (from 6.4/24) and added +1.14m viewers (from 24.93m, +5%). THE GRAMMYs posted their largest audience since 2014.
SUPERIOR DONUTS

SUPERIOR DONUTS (P) posted the time period's best delivery in viewers (7.34m) since the Oct. 3, 2016 SCORPION two hour premiere.

NCIS was the week’s #1 scripted series in viewers (15.56m).
THE BIG BANG THEORY

THE BIG BANG THEORY was first on Thursday in viewers (14.15m), adults 25-54 (4.4/13) and adults 18-49 (3.0/11).
MACGYVER

MACGYVER was up +20% in both adults 25-54 (1.8 from 1.5) and adults 18-49 (1.2 from 1.0) and added +590,000 viewers (from 7.43m, +8%) compared to last week.
BLUE BLOODS

BLUE BLOODS beat NBC and ABC combined at 10:00 PM in viewers (10.65m vs. 8.18m, +30%). Compared to the last week, BLUE BLOODS was up +6% in adults 25-54 (1.9 from 1.8), +9% in adults 18-49 (1.2 from 1.1) and added +520,000 viewers (from 10.13m, +5%).
