EMMY AND TONY AWARD-WINNING ACTOR HAL LINDEN ("BARNEY MILLER") TO JOIN CBS'S "THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL" FOR A LIMITED RUN, ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor Hal Linden ("Barney Miller") will join THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL for a limited run in the role of Jerry Kramer, a mysterious man from Jackie's (Lesley-Anne Down) past.  Jackie's son, Nick (Jack Wagner), will begin to have flashbacks of Kramer, and be puzzled by these memories.  Linden's episodes begin airing Tuesday, Dec. 19, on the CBS Television Network.

Best known for his Emmy-nominated title role on the sitcom "Barney Miller," Linden won his Emmys for a series of daytime informational spots called "F.Y.I."  Among his extensive television credits are the series "Jack's Place," "Gilmore Girls," "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," "Will & Grace," and "The King of Queens," on the Network.  His stage credits include "The Rothschilds," for which he won a Tony Award, "The Pajama Game," "I'm Not Rappaport" and "The Sisters Rosenzweig."

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is a Bell-Phillip Television production, broadcast weekdays (1:30-2:00 PM, ET; 12:30-1:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Currently in its fifth year of being the first and only daytime drama to simulcast in Spanish utilizing SAP (Secondary Audio Program) technology, the show has taped over 4,500 episodes in its more than 19 years on the air, and is the most watched daily dramatic serial in the world, viewed in more than 110 countries.
