It’s a new day in daytime! THE TALK celebrates season 12 with a “Rock the Block” party, hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood, outdoors on CBS Studio Center’s Residential Street in Studio City, Calif., Monday, Sept. 13 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. The season premiere will take the energy and fun from inside Stage 16 to the tree-lined neighborhood street for an epic end-of-summer block party, featuring celebrity guests including actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery, who will discuss his blockbuster summer films “Free Guy” and “Vacation Friends,” and rock chart topper Daughtry, who will perform live as the show’s house band throughout the premiere episode. Also, celebrity chef Carla Hall will grill and serve up delicious street food, while visual artist Bianca Ornelas designs signature sidewalk chalk art. To enjoy the festivities, THE TALK will welcome an in-person audience for the first time since March 2020, filled with frontline and essential workers who will receive numerous exclusive giveaways, including round-trip airfare and a luxury hotel getaway, and share in an hour filled with live music, outdoor games and exclusive surprises.

The excitement continues all week with giveaways for in-studio audience and viewers at home who will have a chance to win prizes every day.

THE TALK will also introduce a spectacular new look, with the addition of state-of-the-art augmented reality graphics. The set has been outfitted with hundreds of augmented reality sensors, which will completely transform segments by creating a virtual world combining practical and graphic elements.

THE TALK season 12 premieres with a “Rock the Block” party outside CBS Studio Center’s Residential Street; actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery discusses his new films “Free Guy” and “Vacation Friends”; rock chart-topper Daughtry discuss their new album, Dearly Beloved, and perform live as the show’s special house band; celebrity chef Carla Hall serves up signature street food; and the in-person audience will consist of frontline and essential workers who will receive exclusive giveaways.
