Academy Award-nominated actor Eric Roberts will appear on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, beginning Friday, June 23, on the CBS Television Network.  Roberts appears in the short-term role of Vance Abrams, the high-powered attorney to Adam Newman (Michael Muhney).   

Roberts, who made his daytime debut as Ted Bancroft on the daytime drama "Another World" in 1977, has starred in films such as "Star 80," "The Pope of Greenwich Village," "The Dark Knight," and received a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination for "Runaway Train" in 1986.  This summer, he appears in the upcoming film "The Expendables," with Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis.  His television credits include "Less Than Perfect," "Heroes" and "Crash."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has been the #1-rated daytime drama for more than 21 years.  The show is broadcast weekdays (12:30-1:30 PM, ET; 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, PT) on the CBS Television Network and is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
