CBS LEADS NOMINATIONS FOR THE “44th ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY® AWARDS”

CBS Receives 70 Nominations,

The Young and the Restless” is Most Nominated Daytime Show with 25 Nominations, and

The Bold and the Beautiful” Receives 23, Each with Nods for Outstanding Drama Series

 

Let’s Make A Deal” Receives Three Nominations and “The Price Is Right” Two

 

The Network’s Saturday Morning Lineup Receives Two Nominations

 

CBS Sunday Morning” Receives Three, “CBS This Morning” and “CBS This Morning: Saturday,” Two Each  

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and THE TALK exclusively revealed the “44th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards” nominations live today on the CBS Television Network. CBS leads the Daytime Emmy nominations with 70 nods, ahead of the other broadcast networks.

The #1 daytime drama THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS received 25 nominations, the most nominated daytime show. In addition, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL received 23; THE TALK received eight, the most in the show’s history; LET’S MAKE A DEAL and CBS SUNDAY MORNING received three; and THE PRICE IS RIGHT, CBS THIS MORNING, and CBS THIS MORNING SATURDAY received two each. Shows from THE CBS DREAM TEAM, IT’S EPIC! Saturday Morning lineup received two.

CBS Daytime’s entire entertainment lineup was honored, with both THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL receiving nominations for Outstanding Drama Series. THE TALK was nominated for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET’S MAKE A DEAL were each nominated for Outstanding Game Show, and LET’S MAKE A DEAL’s Wayne Brady was nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host.

CBS THIS MORNING and CBS SUNDAY MORNING each received a nomination for Outstanding Morning Program.

The Network’s Saturday morning lineup received two nominations, one for LUCKY DOG WITH BRANDON MCMILLAN and one for THE HENRY FORD’S INNOVATION NATION.

Other top nods include Outstanding Lead Actor nominations for Y&R’s Peter Bergman and Kristoff St. John and B&B’s Scott Clifton, and Outstanding Lead Actress for Y&R’s Gina Tognoni and Jess Walton and B&B’s Heather Tom. Outstanding Supporting Actress nominations went to Y&R’s Stacy Haiduk and Kelly Sullivan, as well as B&B’s Anna Maria Horsford. Y&R’s Steve Burton received a nod for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Y&R’s Hunter King and Alyvia Alyn Lind and B&B’s Reign Edwards received nods for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series, and B&B’s Pierson Fodé and Anthony Turpel were nominated for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

CBS THIS MORNING, hosted by Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell delivers two hours of original reporting, breaking news and top-level newsmaker interviews in an engaging and informative format that challenges the norm in network morning news programs.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING, anchored by Jane Pauley, is television’s #1 Sunday morning news program. Each broadcast features breaking news as well as original reporting on the worlds of entertainment, arts, sports, science, technology, movies, music and more.
