Award Added to CHOW's Growing Roster of Awards, Including James Beard Award, Online Journalism Award, Webby Award and Emmy Nomination


     SAN FRANCISCO - May 4, 2011 - today announced it has won the 2011 Maggie Award for Best Web Publication-Consumer.  The Maggie Awards, launched 60 years ago by the Western Publishing Association, honor excellence in editorial and design of both print and electronic publications in the western United States.


     CHOW's videos, stories and design have won a number of awards recently, including a 2010 Online Journalism Award for Best Specialty Site Journalism, Affiliated and a silver medal from the Society of Publications Designers for its innovative site design.   CHOW also received the 2010 James Beard Award for "Best Website Focusing on Food, Beverage, Restaurants or Nutrition."  CHOW video series won several awards, including a Webby for the "You're Doing It All Wrong" video series; two Telly Awards for its videos series, "CHOW Tips," and its video "Urban Farming" from the Obsessives series; and an Emmy nomination for the video "Soda Pop" from the Obsessives series.
