CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM IN VIEWERS ON MAY 13
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers on May 13, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.
FACE THE NATION was first in viewers, delivering 3.57 million, and posted a 0.6/04 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +6% in viewers (from 3.36m). Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 82.3% of the CBS affiliates.
Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.46 million viewers and 0.6/03 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen most current ratings.
The May 13 broadcast opened with CBS News correspondent Elizabeth Palmer reporting from Tehran after President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Iran deal. CBS News correspondents Seth Doane and Holly Williams reported from Jerusalem and Gaza ahead of the new U.S. embassy opening. Margaret Brennan then interviewed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo; Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.); and former Defense Secretary Robert Gates. FACE THE NATION’s political panel included Dan Balz of The Washington Post; Salena Zito of Washington Examiner; Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic; and Seung Min Kim of The Washington Post.
