JERRY MCKENNA APPOINTED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND MARKET MANAGER, CBS RADIO LAS VEGAS
Familiar radio fixture Jerry McKenna has been named Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Las Vegas, it was announced today by Scott Herman, Executive Vice President of Operations for the Company. The appointment is effective immediately. This marks a return to the Company for McKenna, having previously worked for CBS RADIO Sacramento from 1984-2001.
Most recently, McKenna was Market Manager for Entercom in Seattle and prior to that, he oversaw their Denver stations. McKenna also managed in San Francisco for Entercom and served as a Regional President for Citadel from 2001-02.
Of the appointment, Herman said, “Jerry has extensive experience building and developing successful radio stations and clusters. He also has a unique grasp of digital and truly knows how to grow this important initiative from both an audience and revenue standpoint.”
Additionally, McKenna has served as a Board Trustee for the Seattle Chamber of Commerce (2005-09) and is a past president of the California Broadcasters Association (1996-97). He was graduated from USC with a degree in marketing and finance. He and his wife, Debra, a former editor of Las Vegas magazine, will be relocating to the area.
