Frazier succeeds Brian Purdy, who has had a unique dual role managing CBS RADIO’s Houston and Dallas clusters.  Moving forward, he will focus his effective strategic leadership on the country’s fifth largest radio market.

“Sarah has a winning attitude that has helped her adapt to a variety of different situations and roles within CBS RADIO, and I have confidence she will continue to make smart and result-driven decisions to move our Houston cluster forward,” said Mason.  “Sarah has helped deliver strong revenue growth during her tenure, as well as created a number of successful marketing initiatives.  Working alongside a proven leader in Brian Purdy, she has gained valuable insight into the position and the necessary experience to take on this elevated role.

“In Brian we have a proven authority in the radio business with a long list of achievements in sales, programming and community service.  He has put in place a team of highly motivated employees in Houston and leaves this market in a much more competitive position than when he joined.  I look forward to even better things to come in Dallas.”

Frazier joined CBS RADIO in 2004 as the local sales manager for KJKK-FM, the first major-market Jack formatted radio station which more than doubled its yearly revenue in the years after it launched.  She later took on a general sales manager position for CBS RADIO Houston before being named director of sales.  Her efforts at the helm of the sales operation includes creating customer-focused marketing solutions as demonstrated by the more than 70 new events used to develop revenue and brand local and national clients.

Frazier’s career has included a variety of marketing and sales roles within the concert and radio industry.  She began her career in the entertainment industry at Contemporary Group, serving as the director of marketing in Kansas City.  From there, she branched out into radio, joining the Entercom team as an account executive at KYYS in Kansas City.  Her next stop was as general sales manager at Clear Channel’s KZPS-FM in Dallas.

She has served on the Board of the Alliance for Women in Media and is Vice President of the Houston Chapter of the University of Kansas Alumni organization.  Frazier received her degree in journalism with an emphasis in broadcast sales & management in 1994 from the University, in addition to partaking in graduate degree work in integrated marketing communications.
