Network to Air Live 2012 U.S. Open Matches and Studio Shows Complementing CBS Sports’ Coverage

             CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) adds coverage of the 2012 U.S. Open Tennis Championships to its live programming lineup. Complementing CBS Sports’ coverage, CBS Sports Network will air three days of live outer-court coverage over Labor Day weekend (Sept. 1-3), showcasing the most compelling third- and fourth-round matches not shown during CBS Sports’ live simultaneous broadcast (11:00 AM-6:00 PM, ET).

 In addition, for the first time ever in tournament history, CBS Sports Network will televise U.S. Open qualifying matches beginning Tuesday, August 21 through Friday, August 24.  

CBS Sports Network’s programming also includes a live studio show, TODAY AT THE U.S. OPEN, from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., airing from 10:00-11:00 AM, ET throughout Labor Day weekend.

CBS Sports Network will air a series of four 30-minute studio shows, ROAD TO THE U.S. OPEN, chronicling the Emirates Airline US Open Series, which debuts Wednesday, July 25 (10:00 PM, ET). Programming also includes encores of classic U.S. Open matches, featuring the greatest moments from top American players, beginning Sunday, August 19 (9:00 PM, ET).

CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) is the 24-hour cable home of CBS Sports. The Network covers more than 340 live games annually, showcasing 30 men’s and women’s sports, in addition to a variety of studio shows, documentaries and original programs.
