John Schriffen joined CBS Sports Network in 2015 as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball and co-host for the Network’s NFL pregame show, THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW (TOPS). Schriffen also serves as a contributor to CBS Sports’ coverage of college football and basketball.
Prior to joining the Network, Schriffen began his broadcasting career as a sports anchor and reporter for News 12 in the Bronx, N.Y. He also spent several years at NBC4 in Washington, D.C. where he covered the White House and Capitol Hill, among other assignments. Schriffen served as a freelance reporter for WCBS, N.Y covering various assignments. He also was the New York-based correspondent for ABC News where he reported across all of ABC’s platforms.
A graduate of Dartmouth college, Schriffen was a pitcher on the baseball team his freshman year. After suffering a career ending injury, Schriffen served as the voice of Dartmouth athletics calling baseball, basketball and hockey games on the school’s radio network.
He resides in his hometown of New York, NY.
