One-Hour Special on CBS Sports Highlighted by Skateboarding, Flowboarding, Wakeboarding, Snowboarding, Freeskiing, Kayaking and Beach Volleyball

The Alt Games, an event showcasing numerous collegiate championships, returns with a special one-hour CBS Sports Spectacular, The Alt Games: College Action Sports Championships, on Saturday, June 19 (5:00-6:00 PM, ET; taped).  Saturday's show features the most compelling action from the 2010 Alt Games, highlighting top performances from 14 college championships across nine sports.  The CBS Sports show is followed by twelve hours of extensive Alt Games programming on CBS College Sports Network on Sunday, June 20 (12:00 NOON - 12:00 AM, ET).

            Coverage of the 2010 Alt Games includes skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, flowboarding, beach volleyball, kayaking and freeskiing.  Nineteen ninety-eight Winter Olympic gold medalist in freestyle skiing Jonny Moseley, along with reporter Lauren Shehadi, host the coverage for CBS Sports and CBS College Sports Network.    

This year's coverage includes the first-ever international college Flowboarding Championship, featuring the world's top-ranked college flowboarder, Wesley Fischer, from Destiny Bible College in South Africa.  In addition, the College Beach Volleyball Championship returns for the fifth consecutive year, showcasing top women's collegiate volleyball programs (Hawaii, Delaware, California, UCLA). 

More than 1,000 competitors from 72 different colleges and universities nationwide competed at the 2010 Alt Games, which crowned 14 national men's and women's champions in both individual and team events.

The competitions were taped in Copper Mountain, Colo. (April 10), Santa Barbara, Calif. (May 1-2), Reno, Nev. (May 8-9), San Diego, Calif. (April 17-19) and Madison, Wis. (May 28-31).
