"THE NFL TODAY's" BOOMER ESIASON VISITS WITH N.Y. JETS' "SANCHIZE" QUARTERBACK MARK SANCHEZ FOR WEEK 4 OF "THE NFL TODAY" ON SUNDAY, OCT. 3

THE NFL ON CBS, broadcasting its 51st year of the NFL, continues its 2010 NFL season on Sunday, Oct. 3 (1:00-7:00 PM, ET) beginning with THE NFL TODAY (12:00 Noon-1:00 PM, ET).

THE NFL TODAY analyst and former New York Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason sits down with the "Sanchize," New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, to preview this week's game against Buffalo and to find out what's behind his improved performance, his relationship with his head coach Rex Ryan and how he has dealt with the distractions.  Last season as a rookie quarterback, Sanchez led the Jets all the way to the AFC Championship Game.  This year the Jets have Super Bowl expectations.  With the many distractions surrounding the Jets, including a shaky opening game loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, the team and its second-year quarterback have rebounded with wins over division rivals New England and Miami the past two weeks, respectively.  Deb Gelman is the producer.

James Brown hosts THE NFL TODAY along with analysts Dan Marino, Esiason, Shannon Sharpe and Bill Cowher, NFL TODAY "General Manager" Charley Casserly, as well as Lesley Visser and Sam Ryan reporting.

Eric Mann is senior producer and Bob Matina is director of THE NFL TODAY.

Sean McManus is President, CBS News and Sports, and serves as the executive producer for the Network's coverage of the NFL.  Harold Bryant is Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.
