"THE NFL ON CBS" SCORES RATINGS TOUCHDOWN FOR SINGLEHEADER COVERAGE

Afternoon Singleheader Coverage Rates Higher Than Sunday Primetime Game

 

 

THE NFL ON CBS's Singleheader coverage games on Sunday, Oct. 17 (1:00 PM, ET), highlighted by New England's overtime victory over Baltimore, earned an average household rating/share in the metered markets of 14.3/29, up 91% from last year's comparable Singleheader coverage in Week 7 (7.5/16).

 

The 14.3/29 ties with Week 16 of the 2008 season as THE NFL ON CBS's highest-rated Singleheader regular-season coverage in 12 years dating back to 1998 when the Network re-acquired the NFL.

 

Through six weeks of the 2010 NFL regular-season, THE NFL ON CBS has earned an average household rating/share in the metered markets of 12.6/25, up 7% from last year's 11.8/24 and up 14% from an 11.1/22 in 2008.

 

The Singleheader window also included Miami at Green Bay which also went into overtime, San Diego at St. Louis, Kansas City at Houston, Cleveland at Pittsburgh (1:00 PM) and New York Jets at Denver, and Oakland at San Francisco (4:00 PM).

 

THE NFL ON CBS's Singleheader afternoon coverage rating of 14.3/29 was 8% higher than Sunday's Primetime game rating of a 13.2/20.
