CBS SPORTS NETWORK RETURNS TO GRIDIRON FOR 2017 WITH MORE HIGH-PROFILE TEAMS, BOWL GAMES AND NEW ANNOUNCERS

The 2017 College Football Season Kicks off on CBS Sports Network on Saturday, August 26 with Colorado State vs. Oregon State

Aaron Murray and David Diehl Join CBS Sports Network as Analysts

CBS Sports Network hits the field for the 2017 season with an action packed slate of games featuring teams from the American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference, Mountain West, Army and Navy football. The season culminates with two bowl games, including the AutoNation Cure Bowl on Saturday, December 16 and the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl on Friday, December 29, new to CBS Sports Network for 2017.

The first game of the overall 2017 college football season is slated to officially kick off on CBS Sports Network, as Oregon State travels to Colorado State on Saturday, August 26. (2:30 PM, ET.).

CBS Sports Network’s schedule includes high-profile teams across the country, including Stanford, Oregon, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Boise State, Temple, Wyoming, San Diego State, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, BYU, Air Force, USF, Western Michigan and Memphis.

CBS Sports Network also returns as the home of Service Academy football, televising seven Army games, five Navy games and six Air Force games.

Additional schedule highlights include:

  • USF at San Jose State – Saturday, August 26

  • Kentucky at Southern Miss – Saturday, September 2

  • Stanford at San Diego State – Saturday, September 16

  • Virginia Tech at East Carolina – Saturday, September 16

  • Oregon at Wyoming – Saturday, September 16

  • Air Force at Navy – Saturday, October 7

  • Boise State at San Diego State – Saturday, October 14

  • UConn vs. Boston College (Fenway Park) – Saturday, November 18

Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and Illinois offensive lineman David Diehl join CBS Sports Network as analysts. Former Washington State Cougars safety Erik Coleman also joins the CBS Sports Network team as a sideline reporter.

Coverage is anchored by host Adam Zucker, who is joined by analysts Rick Neuheisel, Brian Jones, Randy Cross and Aaron Taylor. CBS Sports Network studio team also includes hosts Brent Stover and Dana Jacobson, as well as analysts Houston Nutt and Christian Fauria.
