JIM NANTZ AND TONY ROMO CALL FIRST SUPER BOWL AS ANNOUNCE TEAM

CBS Sports Veteran Producer Jim Rikhoff Set to Produce First Super Bowl of His Career

On Sunday, Feb. 3, Super Bowl LIII will mark the 20^th overall Super Bowl broadcast by CBS – the most of any network. When the game kicks off at 6:30 PM, ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., CBS Sports will have a new team in front of, and behind, the camera.

In their second year together as THE NFL ON CBS’ lead announce team, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will call their first Super Bowl together. And veteran CBS Sports producer Jim Rikhoff will be in the truck as the lead Super Bowl producer for the first time in his career.

“Building on the great chemistry among Jim, Tony and Tracy that has been nurtured and developed by Jim Rikhoff during their almost two full seasons together, they have continued to get better week-to-week as the season has progressed,” says Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports. “Both Jim and Tony have shown the ability to look forward, not just backward, in their analysis and commentary during a game. And, as the team gets set to call their first Super Bowl together, there is no doubt they will be up to the task of providing the entertaining, informative analysis and commentary viewers have quickly come to expect from them.”

● Super Bowl LIII will mark Nantz’s fifth calling play-by-play for the Super Bowl and seventh overall as he hosted two others for the Network

● Romo will provide analysis for his first Super Bowl.

● Reporters Tracy Wolfson and Evan Washburn will join Nantz and Romo, providing news, observations and insight from the sidelines. Both will work their second Super Bowls as sideline reporters.

● After serving as the head referee last year for Super Bowl LII, CBS Sports’ new NFL rules analyst Gene Steratore will be in the booth alongside Nantz and Romo for his first Super Bowl; and Jay Feely, from the field, will serve as a game contributor for his second time.

Rikhoff, who joined CBS Sports in 1985, has since worked on every major event at the Network. Super Bowl LIII will represent his first as lead Super Bowl producer and seventh overall as part of the game and pregame production teams. The eight-time Emmy Award-winning producer was named lead game producer of THE NFL ON CBS in April 2017.

Super Bowl LIII will mark 37-year CBS Sports veteran director Mike Arnold’s fourth as lead director of the Super Bowl, and 12^th overall working the game. He has been a part of the Network’s broadcast production of the Super Bowl for every year since 1982.
