(On Alabama and their Road Wins):

I knew Alabama would improve this year. And I knew that they were in the process of becoming a legitimate contender.  Anyone would be surprised to see their level of play and the teams they have beaten on the road. As bad as Arkansas is, they beat the bad at Arkansas and beat Georgia at Georgia like they did. Even that Clemson game was a hyped-up game for them. They have been able to do it in big games and they've looked dominant.

(On Kentucky-Alabama):

The strength of Kentucky is their defensive line and linebackers to stop the run. I am really interested to see how Kentucky handles it. If they can force Alabama to do something besides run the ball right at them, they can make it a game. Nobody else has even made it a game against them

(On the Alabama's Red Circle Game): The game to me that really looms as a possible upset (for Alabama) is at Tennessee. Tennessee's defense is stout enough, their secondary is athletic enough, to cover up their receivers. And their offense can run the ball much like Alabama. I see that as a "red circle" game for Alabama. If they get by that one, look out. They are going to be in the hunt for the national title.
