WOODS, WATNEY, FURYK, JOHNSON AND MAHAN TEE IT UP IN “AT&T NATIONAL” ON JUNE 30-JULY 1 ON CBS SPORTS

         The AT&T NATIONAL returns to historic Congressional Country Club after a two-year hiatus, with the world’s top players set to compete on The Blue Course just outside the nation’s capital. CBS Sports broadcasts third- and final-round coverage of the AT&T NATIONAL from Congressional in Bethesda, Md., on Saturday, June 30 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) and Sunday, July 1 (3:00-6:30 PM, ET), live on the CBS Television Network.

        Jim Nantz, three-time Emmy Award Winner and five-time National Sportscaster of the Year, now in his 27th year at CBS, serves as anchor of CBS Sports’ golf coverage. Sir Nick Faldo, winner of six major championships and more than 40 tournaments worldwide, serves as lead analyst. Ian Baker-Finch calls the action at the 17th hole and Gary McCord at the 16th hole.  David Feherty and Peter Kostis serve as on-course reporters.

        Last year, Nick Watney shot a final-round 66 to beat 2007 AT&T champion K.J. Choi by two strokes.  The field includes 11 major champion winners including 2009 AT&T National winner Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk, Lucas Glover, Stewart Cink, Vijay Singh, Davis Love III, Angel Cabrera, Ben Curtis, Trevor Immelman, Y.E. Yang and Justin Leonard as well as nine PGA TOUR winners this season: Marc Leishman, Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan, John Huh, Johnson Wagner, Kyle Stanley, George McNeill, Curtis and Woods.  The impressive field of the world’s top players also includes Adam Scott, D.A. Points, Robert Garrigus, Ryan Moore, Camilo Villegas, Rory Sabbatini, Sean O’Hair, Robert Allenby, J.B. Holmes, Sang-Moon Bae, Charley Hoffman, Bo Van Pelt, Jeff Overton, Steve Marino, Kevin Stadler, John Merrick, Ricky Barnes, Jhonattan Vegas, Michael Thompson, Gary Woodland, Charlie Wi, Boo Weekley and Choi.  Patrick Cantlay, who turned professional last week at the Travelers Championship after two years at UCLA, and 18-year-old Jordan Spieth, who was low amateur at the U.S. Open and a member of the NCAA Champion University of Texas golf team, are also competing.
