BILL COWHER

(On N.Y. Giants): Obviously the Giants are coming home off a big, emotional win on the road against a division rival, so there is a chance for a letdown.  Plus, you can say what you want about not being distracted by all that has occurred with the hurricane this week, but it has to still be in the forefront of a lot of the Giants players’ minds.

(On Pittsburgh): Pittsburgh had a big win last week to get back on track and are starting to come into their own right now.  This is a huge game for them.  They need to stay in tune with Baltimore and can’t afford to fall too far behind.

(On Ben Roethlisberger vs. Eli Manning): These two players, with four Super Bowl wins between them, relish their roles.  Their teams are going to go as far as each can take them.  When you look at the Class of 2004, we picked 11th that year in Pittsburgh and had a chance to get Ben Roethlisberger, but Philip Rivers and Eli Manning were very much Top 5 picks.  The careers that they’ve all had, along with Matt Schaub, who was also part of that Class of 2004, are starting to be compared to the Class of 1983 with Dan Marino, John Elway and Jim Kelly.
