CBS’ “SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME” AND “IRON BOWL” ARE TWO MOST-WATCHED AND HIGHEST-RATED COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES OF 2017 SEASON

For the ninth consecutive year, the SEC ON CBS, featuring the best game from the best conference, is the highest-rated regular-season college football package on any network. CBS Sports’ coverage of the 2017 SEC ON CBS season averaged a household rating/share of 3.0/7, according to Nielsen national ratings, topping all other networks.

The 2017 SEC ON CBS season averaged more viewers than any college football network package with an average of 5.0 million viewers.

The 17-game SEC ON CBS slate delivered the two most-watched and two highest-rated games of the season on any network, with the SEC Championship on Dec. 2 (8.0/18; 13.5 million viewers) and the Iron Bowl on Nov. 25 (7.6/17; 13.7 million viewers).
