CBS Sports Network delivers a night of women in sports programming on Tuesday, Dec. 19, highlighted by Hall of Fame coach Geno Auriemma going for his 1000^th career win as No. 1 Connecticut takes on Oklahoma in the Basketball Hall of Fame Holiday Showcase exclusively on CBS Sports Network  (7:00 PM, ET). UConn is off to another dominant start this year as they look to extend their regular-season record to 9-0 on Tuesday.

Brent Stover, Debbie Antonelli and reporter Jamie Erdahl are on the call for the potentially historic night from Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. As part of its game coverage, CBS Sports Network will showcase all post-game ceremonies immediately following a UConn victory.

Immediately following UConn-Oklahoma, CBS Sports Network will air a live edition of WE NEED TO TALK with panelists Dana Jacobson, Dara Torres, Andrea Kremer and former UConn All-American Swin Cash. The special live edition of the show will feature interviews and more post-game reactions. The fifth installment of the WE NEED TO TALK “Body Image Series” also will air during the show and feature former UConn stand-out and WNBA champion, Maya Moore reflecting on how she views her body as an athlete. 

In addition, the panelists will sit down with Lisa Borders, WNBA president and #SeeHer board advisor, and Gail Tifford, #SeeHer initiative co-founder and Vice President Media North America and Global Digital Innovation, to discuss the #SeeHer movement and the importance of sports in giving girls strong, confident, healthy role models.  #SeeHer was created with the mission to accurately portray girls and women in media. The goal is for women and girls, by 2020, to see themselves reflected as they truly are.

WE NEED TO TALK will also welcome former NFL wide receiver and current Players Coalition co-head, Anquan Boldin in-studio. The show will also feature a sit-down between WE NEED TO TALK contributor and lead NFL ON CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson and lead NFL ON CBS analyst Tony Romo.

The night concludes with a new documentary titled BOX GIRLS OF NAIROBI, narrated by Women’s Boxing Hall of Famer and WE NEED TO TALK contributor, Laila Ali. The documentary tells the story of a young woman, her boxing coach and how they have used the sport as a vehicle to teach young girls about self-empowerment and self-respect in the slums of Nairobi.
