AFC Championship Opening Tease “Teasing John Malkovich” Garners Four Emmy Awards

CBS Sports won the most Sports Emmy Awards of any one network, with eight last night at the 39th Annual Sports Emmy Awards at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.

Highlighting CBS Sports’ wins were Emmy Awards for Outstanding Live Sports Special for its coverage of the 118th Army-Navy game and Outstanding Playoff Coverage for the AFC Championship Game.

CBS Sports won four Emmy Awards for the opening tease of the AFC Championship Game, “Teasing John Malkovich,” including Outstanding Open/Tease, Outstanding Short Form Editing, The Dick Schaap Outstanding Writing Award, and Outstanding Studio or Production Design/Art Direction.

The Network’s coverage of the 118th Army-Navy game also garnered Emmy Awards for Outstanding Music Direction and Outstanding Post-Produced Audio/Sound.
