CBS SPORTS FANTASY LAUNCHES PERSONALIZED “GENERAL MANAGER” FOR THE GOOGLE ASSISTANT

CBS Sports Fantasy Football Players Can Now Get Advice and Info

Tailored to Their Team

Oct. 1, 2018 – CBS Sports Fantasy today launched a personalized fantasy football “General Manager” for the Google Assistant, marking a first-of-its-kind virtual assistant integration for fantasy sports. By talking to the Google Assistant, anyone who plays CBS Sports Fantasy Football can now get completely personalized, actionable guidance on which players to start, pick up or trade. The Assistant will also provide CBS Sports players with real-time score and injury updates specific to their team.

CBS Sports Fantasy players can ask the Assistant, on smart speakers like Google Home, phones and other devices with the Google Assistant built in, any of these questions to get personalized advice and updates:

Hey Google, talk to CBS Sports…

Who should I start?

Who should I bench?

Who should I pick up?

Who should I drop?

Is anyone good on the waiver wire?

Do I have any trade offers?

Is anyone on my team injured?

Tell me about my matchup.

What is my score?

Anyone playing CBS Sports Fantasy Football can log in with their username and password in the Google Assistant app and then ask for personalized information and advice on any device with the Assistant built in. The CBS Sports Fantasy Action for the Google Assistant makes calculations on the spot based on the fantasy player’s team and league scoring settings, and generates unique responses specific to that person.

CBS Sports Fantasy began offering advice for the Google Assistant on drafting or starting specific players earlier this year, and still offers this advice, with no authentication required, to anyone who plays fantasy football on any platform.
