CBS SPORTS REACHES MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT TO AIR BIG EAST GAMES THROUGH 2024-25 SEASON

CBS and CBS Sports Network to Televise 20 Men’s Regular-Season Basketball Games Per Year Through Sublicense Agreement with FOX Sports

CBS Sports and the Big East Conference have reached a new multi-year agreement to televise Big East men’s college basketball games on the CBS Television Network and CBS Sports Network. The deal, which runs through the 2024-25 season, is through a sublicense agreement with FOX Sports.

The agreement provides national exposure for 20 men’s regular-season basketball games per year, with at least two appearances for each of the 10 schools. CBS Sports will broadcast up to four games per season with the remainder airing on CBS Sports Network.

“CBS Sports has partnered with the Big East for more than 35 years and we are thrilled to be able to continue to showcase the conference across our platforms for years to come,” said Dan Weinberg, Executive Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports. “The depth of the conference has never been stronger and we are excited to continue our long-standing relationship with the Big East in delivering high-quality basketball to our viewers.”

“We’re very excited that the long-standing national television coverage Big East basketball has enjoyed on CBS Sports will be continuing for the next six years,” said Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman. “We’re grateful for the outstanding support CBS provides annually to the college game and look forward to partnering to bring compelling broadcasts to our fans around the country.”

CBS Sports broadcasts an extensive regular-season schedule of college basketball that annually features more than 40 games, including conference championships from the Big Ten, Atlantic 10, Mountain West and Missouri Valley. CBS Sports and Turner Sports combine for exclusive coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, providing live, full national coverage of the tournament’s 67 games across four national television networks – CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.

CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour home of CBS Sports, televises more than 200 regular-season college basketball games, including conference championships from the Colonial Athletic Association, Patriot League and Conference USA.
