National Window, Highlighted by New Orleans-Seattle, Is Most-Watched Game of Day with 22.463 Million Viewers

CBS Sports’ first national game of the 2019 NFL season on Sunday, Sept. 22 was CBS’ most-watched opening national game of the season in four years.

Sunday’s national 4:25 PM, ET window averaged 22.463 million viewers, up +7% versus last year (21.029M in Week 2) and was the most-watched game of the day on any network. The national window was highlighted by New Orleans-Seattle.

Through the first three weeks of the NFL season, THE NFL ON CBS’ season-to-date viewership is its highest in three years, up +6%, averaging 16.740 million viewers (2016; 17.400M).
