Mark Immelman is an analyst and on-course reporter for GOLF ON CBS and CBS Sports HQ. He also appears on CBS Sports Network for coverage of the Masters and PGA Championship as a reporter for the shows, ON THE RANGE and CLUBHOUSE REPORT.
Immelman also serves as an analyst for PGA TOUR LIVE and a play-by-play broadcaster for PGA TOUR Radio. He hosts “On the Mark,” a popular PGA TOUR Podcast. Immelman has published two e-Books on golf instruction: “Scandalously Simple – The Easy Way to Accurate Golf Shots” and “Golf is a Game of Recovery.”
In addition to his broadcast duties, Immelman is a golf instructor and a college coach at Columbus (Ga.) State University. Throughout his career he has taught and/or consulted PGA TOUR and European Tour professionals and tournament winners such as: Larry Mize, Loren Roberts, Trevor Immelman, Scott Brown and Patton Kizzire. Immelman has been recognized as one of Golf Digest's “Top 20 Instructors Under 40”, Golf Digest’s “Best Teachers in the State of Georgia” and Georgia Trend Magazine's “Top 40 Under 40 – Georgia’s Best and Brightest.”
As a college coach at Columbus State, Immelman has kept the Cougars men’s golf team in contention for Conference and National titles. He is a two-time NCAA Division II Atlantic/Southeast Region Coach of the Year, Peachbelt Conference Coach of the Year, and the 2009 NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year.
After a successful amateur career in South Africa, Immelman was offered a golf scholarship to Columbus State. He enjoyed a successful collegiate career highlighted by being a four-time All-America selection, two-time Academic All-American, and member of two NCAA Division II National Championship.
Immelman currently resides in Columbus, Ga. with his wife, Tracy, and daughters, Isabel and Sophia.
