CBS SPORTS GOES BACK-TO-BACK WITH GOLF MAJORS AS PGA CHAMPIONSHIP MOVES TO NEW MAY POSITION

CBS SPORTS BECOMES FIRST NETWORK EVER TO BROADCAST FIRST TWO MAJORS OF THE YEAR AND FIRST IN 25 YEARS TO CARRY BACK-TO-BACK MAJORS

CBS SPORTS BRINGS COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE OF PGA CHAMPIONSHIP TO VIEWERS ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS INCLUDING CBS, CBS SPORTS NETWORK, CBS ALL ACCESS, CBS SPORTS HQ & CBSSPORTS.COM

With its broadcast of the 101st PGA Championship, CBS Sports will become the first network to broadcast back-to-back major championships in 25 years. As the PGA Championship moves to its new position in May on the golf calendar, CBS also becomes the first network ever to broadcast the first two majors of the year.

CBS Sports offers comprehensive coverage of the PGA Championship across its broadcast, cable and digital platforms highlighted by the third and final rounds on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 (2:00-7:00 PM, ET; both days) all at Bethpage State Park, Black Course in Farmingdale, NY on CBS. This year marks the 29th consecutive year and 36th overall that CBS has broadcast the event. Additionally, CBS will provide weeklong coverage of the event across CBS Sports Network, CBS All Access, CBS SPORTS HQ and CBSSports.com, with a variety of shows originating from Bethpage.

The CBS golf team is led by anchor Jim Nantz, a three-time Emmy Award-winner and five-time National Sportscaster of the Year. Sir Nick Faldo, winner of six major championships and more than 40 tournaments worldwide, serves as lead analyst. Following is the rest of CBS Sports’ critically acclaimed golf announcers with their hole assignments for the Championship:

  • Ian Baker-Finch 17th hole;

  • Gary McCord at the 16th hole;

  • Frank Nobilo at the 15th hole;

  • Verne Lundquist at the 14th hole;

  • Bill Macatee at the 13th hole;

  • Dottie Pepper, Peter Kostis and Mark Immelman will serve as on-course reporters;

  • Amanda Balionis handles interviews.

CBS Sports Network Tees Up Comprehensive Week-Long Coverage

  • PGA Championship on the Range: Airs live from the Tournament Practice Range on Thursday and Friday, May 16-17 (11:00 AM-1:00 PM, ET) featuring player interviews, analysis and a preview of the day’s action. Brian Crowell hosts along with Mark Immelman, Michael Breed and Bobby Clampett. Deb Boulac produces and Cory Fishman directs.

  • PGA Championship Clubhouse Report: CBS Sports Network airs the show live after the conclusion of play with highlights, analysis and player interviews on Thursday and Friday, May 16-17 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET) and Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET). Luke Elvy serves as host, along with Rich Beem, Mark Brooks and J.J. Henry and special guests. Boulac produces and Fishman directs.

  • PGA Championship Replay: CBS Sports Network’s PGA Championship programming includes encore replays of CBS Sports’ third and final-round broadcasts of the 2019 Tournament.

  • PGA Championship Archives: CBS Sports Network airs PGA Championship Archives and other programming in the week leading up to the 101st PGA Championship, looking back at the most memorable moments in the history of the event.

CBS All Access Streams Broadcast Coverage; CBS SPORTS HQ Features Live Shows and Updates Each Day from Bethpage

CBS Sports’ broadcast coverage will be available to stream live via the CBS All Access subscription service with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app for mobile and connected TV devices. CBS SPORTS HQ, the 24/7 streaming sports news network from CBS Sports, will feature live coverage from Bethpage during the tournament, with “Kanell & Bell,” hosted by Danny Kanell and Raja Bell, streaming live from the course at 10am, ET on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and live updates throughout each day of the tournament from CBS Sports Digital golf writer Kyle Porter.
