New York, NY — March 1, 2017 – In an exclusive airing on Wednesday, INSIDE EDITION’s Jim Moret speaks with Gary Allen Coe and Vicky Vines, the couple who stole the show at the Oscars when a free Hollywood tour bus dropped them, and fellow tourists, front and center at the Academy Awards.

Gary from Chicago” and his fiancée Vines became Oscars darlings until it was revealed that Coe served twenty years in prison for attempted rape, robbery and theft. He was released from state prison just three days before his appearance at the Oscars.

During the show, Coe kissed the hands of Nicole Kidman, Octavia Spencer and other beautiful Hollywood stars. He tells INSIDE EDITION that he’s remorseful and ashamed of his criminal past. “For all those women affected by my past, Gary is a changed man. I respect women. I’m not some monster,” he says.

Despite revelations about his prison record, Coe tells INSIDE EDITION the night was “magical.” “Nothing anyone can say can steal the joy from that moment,” he says.

One particular moment that night came when host Jimmy Kimmel found out that the couple is engaged. He jokingly asked Jennifer Aniston to give them a present, and she handed her $625 sunglasses over to Vines.

It was reported that Aniston thought she’d get the sunglasses back, but the star’s publicist tells INSIDE EDITION that she gave them to Vines to keep and did not expect them to be returned. Vines says she’s touched by the gift. “Jen, thank you much, sweetie. I love you so much,” she says.
