NICKELODEON’S NICK NEWS PUTS A FOCUS ON SELF-IMAGE, HEADS TO SPACE, AND HONORS TENNIS LEGEND SERENA WILLIAMS IN A BRAND-NEW EPISODE PREMIERING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Sept. 16, 2022– Nickelodeon will air a brand-new episode of its award-winning show Nick News Wednesday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), highlighting the importance of having a strong sense of self-confidence and explores the stories of real kids who are taking the lead to spread a positive message on self-image with other kids.  The episode also includes an insider’s look at NASA’s space camp and closes with a segment that pays homage to iconic tennis star Serena Williams.

Nick News September installment will feature host, Gabrielle Nevaeh Green (That Girl Lay Lay) and kicks off will with a segment from CBS News Correspondent Jamie Yuccas speaking with Nickelodeon star Lexi DiBenedetto (A Loud House Christmas) about self-image and the importance of inner confidence. Nick News’ Rory Hu, travels to Huntsville, Alabama to visit NASA’s Space Camp and gives viewers an insider’s look into the training process for would be astronauts.

Nick News will also feature a special tribute to 23-Grand Slam winning tennis player, Serena Williams.  Celebrating her decades of athletic greatness, Williams leaves behind a monumental legacy for young women and athletes to look up to. This segment will highlight all of her achievements and feature kids inspired by her accomplished career.

Nick News will close with a segment from Nickelodeon’s award-winning “Extraordinary Me” series, featuring two best friends whose passion is STEM.

Following the premiere on Nickelodeon, this new episode of Nick News will be available on Nick.com, Nick App and Nick On Demand beginning Thursday, September 22.
