CRAIG PLATT JOINS SHOWTIME AS NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CREATIVE ADVERTISING AND EMILY GOULD PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CONSUMER MARKETING

NEW YORK, NY –  February 18, 2015 – Today, Showtime Networks Inc. announced that Craig Platt has joined the network as its new Senior Vice President, Creative Advertising, and that Emily Gould has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing. Platt will be responsible for establishing the conceptual and stylistic direction and creative output for the networks’ print and broadcast marketing, advertising and affiliate campaigns, and managing the network’s team of creative directors, writers, producers, designers and copywriters. In her new role, Emily Gould will oversee the network’s consumer marketing strategy, and spearhead the strategic development and execution of all consumer marketing initiatives, while managing the SHOWTIME Program Marketing, Marketing Services and Advertising teams. She will also collaborate with SHOWTIME Sports® on consumer marketing tactics, and will oversee the marketing and promotion of acquired theatricals and documentaries. The announcements were made by Donald Buckley, Executive Vice President, Program Marketing, Media, Promotions and Digital Services, Showtime Networks Inc., to whom they report.

Platt joins SHOWTIME from mOcean, a creative advertising agency specializing in the production of movie trailers and television commercials. As mOcean’s Senior Vice President and Creative Director, TheatricalA/V, he managed and directed the creative process for the theatrical release of films, including teasers, trailers, television and web spots and viral campaigns. Platt worked on the marketing campaigns of major award-winning and critically-acclaimed feature films including American Sniper, Gravity, St. Vincent, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Town, The Hangover Part III, Horrible Bosses and Horrible Bosses 2, among many others. Last year, he was honored with a Golden Trailer Award for Best in Show 2014 for his work on Gravity. In addition, he has won a number of awards for his work on the key art for the film campaigns of The Great Gatsby, Project X, The Dark Knight Rises and Gravity. Previously, he spent four years as Vice President and Producer, TheatricalA/V at Trailer Park, a creative advertising agency that produces movie trailers, television commercials and sizzle reels. In coordination with studio executives, he oversaw and directed the creative process supporting the theatrical release of major films, while managing editors, graphic designers, copywriters and music supervisors on the production and creative concepts of feature campaign materials. Platt began his career in Publicity and Marketing at Warner Independent Pictures.

Gould has served as Vice President, Program Marketing and Advertising since 2012, co-heading the network’s program marketing and advertising departments. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing the strategic development of multi-platform marketing programs, and managing all marketing strategy and consumer advertising for the network's entertainment programming, with a focus on original series and specials. She also held oversight of the network’s internal and external creative and digital agencies, including television, print, radio, digital and outdoor campaigns. Over the past ten years since joining SHOWTIME, Gould has led innovative marketing and advertising campaigns for the network’s top series. Prior to joining the network in 2005, she served as an Account Director at Arnell Group managing strategy and production of advertising campaigns for Reebok International. Previously, she served as a Marketing Manager for the United States Tennis Association. Gould also worked as the Assistant Presence Manager for the Coca-Cola Company for the 2002 Winter Olympic Group, and held positions at marchFIRST and at Publicis & Hal Riney.
