NEW YORK (July 19, 2016) – SHOWTIME Sports will chronicle Florida State University’s quest for the 2016 College Football National Championship with the all-access documentary series “A SEASON WITH FLORIDA STATE FOOTBALL.”  The second installment of the groundbreaking series brings viewers behind the scenes and into the lives of the Seminoles with weekly 30-minute episodes throughout the 2016 season.  The series premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME, just one day after the Seminoles’ season opener against the Ole Miss Rebels (University of Mississippi) on Labor Day.

The Seminoles, a perennial college football powerhouse, are three-time national champions and enter the 2016 season ranked as one of the top-three teams in the country in consensus pre-season rankings.  New episodes will premiere at 10 p.m. ET/PT each Tuesday night as the Seminoles battle through the talent-laden Atlantic Coast Conference and vie for a spot in the College Football Playoff and a shot at the national title.

“There’s no other network delivering such intimate and unbridled access to world-class teams and athletes during the most crucial times of their respective seasons,” said Stephen Espinoza, Executive Vice President & General Manager, SHOWTIME Sports.  “It’s our difference maker.  Building off our ALL ACCESS series coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, and our successful first season of A SEASON WITH NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL, SHOWTIME Sports is there when it matters most.”

“We are very excited to partner with Showtime this season and eager to give college football fans a unique look into our program,” said Head Coach Jimbo Fisher.  “At Florida State, we have a tremendous family atmosphere, and we are looking forward to showcasing what makes FSU football special.”

In an innovative move for a series announcement, SHOWTIME Sports employed a social media campaign teasing the reveal of the participating team for the second installment of the “A SEASON WITH” franchise across the network’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook platforms.  The linchpin of the campaign was the unveiling of sequential portions of an original artistic mosaic of FSU football imagery throughout the day on a new A SEASON WITH Instagram account leading up to this official announcement.  Cross-platform support on Twitter and Facebook all led to the posting of the final image and the launch of a thirty-second tease video.

For the first time in its storied history, Florida State University is granting unparalleled access to its Division I football program, players and coaching staff.  The series will feature never-before-seen access to the world-class program and its compelling student athletes.  From preparations for each week’s matchup, to the intensity on game day and the rigors of balancing athletics with classwork during the season, viewers will bear witness to the dedication of the Garnet and Gold, led by Coach Fisher in their bid for gridiron glory.  From the opening week matchup with the Ole Miss Rebels to showdowns with perennial rivals Clemson, Miami and Florida, A SEASON WITH FLORIDA STATE FOOTBALL will deliver the sights, sounds and drama from the entire season as the Seminoles aim for their second National Championship in the last four years.

Production for A SEASON WITH FLORIDA STATE FOOTBALL is underway with cameras entrenched on campus in Tallahassee, Fla.  The executive producers are Scott A. Stone of Stone & Company Entertainment, Michael Antinoro of IMG Productions, Tom Cappello of Crazy Legs Productions, Jason Sciavicco, David Check, Steve Stern and Ross Greenburg.

The A SEASON WITH franchise debuted in 2015 to chronicle The University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
