THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE CRAZIEST POLITICAL CAMPAIGN ON EARTH continues its fifth season this Sunday as the presidential candidates visit Kenosha, Wisconsin in the aftermath of protests and violence over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.  

Hosts John Heilemann, Alex Wagner and Mark McKinnon, along with guest contributor Jennifer Palmieri, are on the ground to explore how the demand for racial justice and the tension between police and protesters is impacting the presidential race in this key battleground state.

Episode interviews include:

  • Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, who addresses the violence in Kenosha in the wake of Jacob Blake’s death and what it means for the 2020 race as President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden visit the city this week.
  • Charles Franklin, director of the Marquette University Law School poll, who explains how Wisconsin voters’ support for the Black Lives Matter movement has changed in recent months. 
  • Charlie Sykes, former Wisconsin conservative radio host and editor-in-chief of The Bulwark, who discusses the political landscape in his state and how it has changed since 2016. 
  • THE CIRCUS also speaks with local activists, law enforcement officials and voters to better understand the state of the race in Wisconsin.
