NEW YORK, April 19, 2010 -   Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, announced today that it will publish a new book from one of America's most outspoken and colorful sports personalities, figure skater Johnny Weir. 

Known for his quick wit, sharp insight and irresistible charm, Johnny Weir is a three-time U.S. National Figure Skating Champion, World Medalist and two-time U.S. Olympian. Weir is also the star of his critically acclaimed reality show/documentary, Be Good, Johnny Weir, which airs on The Sundance Channel. 

His as of yet untitled book will be a collection of wildly entertaining anecdotes and essays about everything from pop culture to skating to fashion to Johnny himself.

 Jennifer Bergstrom, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Gallery Books negotiated the deal with Dan Strone, CEO of Trident Media Group, in association with Tara Modlin of Fireworks Sport Marketing which includes world and audio rights.  The book is scheduled for publication in January 2011.
