SEASON 3: SURVIVOR: AFRICA
August 2001
SURVIVOR: AFRICA
The third installment of the groundbreaking SURVIVOR series takes place in Africa, where 16 Americans will be stranded many miles from civilization in a remote region of Kenya to vie for the title of Ultimate Survivor and win $1 million. Eight men and eight women, a diverse group of individuals with varying backgrounds and geographic origins, are split into two teams, each of which must work to find food, water and shelter in order to exist. The series chronicles the relationships and conflicts that develop, as strangers test their limits in various challenging situations that force them to rely on one another to survive while remaining aware that they must eliminate one another to become the Ultimate Survivor. At the conclusion of each episode, the participants will form a tribal council and conduct a secret-ballot vote to expel one of their colleagues from the tribe. Once the competition is narrowed to two finalists, the ultimate $1 million winner will be selected by a panel of expelled participants.
