THIS JUST IN... ...from CBS Entertainment "THE TALK'S" MARISSA JARET WINOKUR TO BE "WOMAN ON THE STREET" REPORTER DURING "THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS," THURSDAY, NOV. 25 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

 

NEW YORK - Nov. 11, 2010 - Marissa Jaret Winokur, co-host of the CBS daytime talk show, "The Talk," will be the "woman on the street" reporter for THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS, which will broadcast live from New York City, Thursday, Nov. 25 (9:00 AM-12:00 Noon, live ET; 8:00-11:00 AM, live CT; 7:00-10:00 AM, live MT; 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon, delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.  A native New Yorker and Tony Award winner for her role in the hit Broadway musical, "Hairspray," Winokur will provide her own viewpoint of the parade as she reports and interacts with the crowd. 

 

Winokur co-hosts "The Talk," the new CBS daytime talk show that examines topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of six hosts-Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Winokur-who are all mothers.  "The Talk" is broadcast weekdays (2:00-3:00 PM, ET/1:00-2:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.

 

"The Early Show's" Maggie Rodriguez and Dave Price will anchor THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS, a Thanksgiving tradition celebrating its 50th year on the Network, from a site along the parade route in Times Square.  The special will feature the 84th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City, as well as previously announced performances by Emmy Award-winning country music star Carrie Underwood, and the Broadway casts of "Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles" and the Tony Award-winning musical "Billy Elliot."

 

Emmy Award-winning producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss ("The Tony Awards") are executive producers for THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS.  Weiss will also direct.
